What is trolling?

Hello everyone, I see people commenting about people trolling on the blogs. What exactly is that?

    The classic definition is going somewhere on the internet and posting something to get people all riled up. For example, going to a Harley Davidson forum and exclaiming "Harley sucks! Goldwing rules!" Or coming to MFP and saying you weight 90 lbs and have a target weight of 70 lbs.

    In the more general sense you can call pretty much any general forum smartassery "trolling".

    If it is a post that is so outlandish that you cant believe someone posted it, its usually a troll. Dont feed the trolls!!!!

    Good point... I will be ignoring those posts from now on. They do not have a place on here!!!
