Which should I go by? Calories burned by measuring pulse or

While I was doing Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30 DVD, I took my pulse at my maximum endurance, which came out to 180bpm. I calculated that on a calorie-by-pulse calculator online based on my gender, age, weight and pulse, and it indicated that I would burn 400 calories in a 30 minute period.

Now, when I record my exercise for the day, I usually go by MFP's entry of "Circuit training, general", which estimates my calorie burn to be 207cals in 30 minutes. What I am wondering is - do I go by MFP's suggestion, the max calorie burn, or do I just choose an average estimate in between the two?

Most people have said that the curcuit training log is pretty accurate for the 30 day shred, so I would imagine it is the same for Ripped in 30

Awesome, thank you both for your answers. Yes, I would definitely like to buy a heart rate monitor. Also, I thought that MFP was probably fairly close, although I did an average between my pulse rate and MFP's answer and it's a difference of 100 calories. Meh, whatever...whatever I'm doing right now seems to be working, so I'll just stop overanalyzing this to death, LOL!
