I now have a mallet/ tenderizer but I have used a rolling pin0
-
I've used everything from meat mallets, ladels, rolling pins.... anything with some weight0
-
I use a rolling pin too.
I roll it a few times and then give it a few whacks.
It's really quite theraputic actually.0 -
I put it between some plastic wrap or in a ziploc bag and whack it with a heavy can--I don't have a rolling pin.0
-
Put it in a ziplock or a plastic bag and use any of the options listed above or go for the hammer....
I agree it's very therapuetic!0 -

Thanks everyone! I have never flattened my chicken breast before, but it sounds like it would be very good with some of the marinades that was in another post.
:drinker:0 -
I modified a recipe I got from Good Eats for my favorite "flat" chicken dish-
I flatten the boneless skinless breast
dredge it in breadcrumbs (seasoned to taste)
then put it in the oven in a little bit of olive oil to bake
about 10-15 minutes before it's done, I top with small amount of swiss cheese and broccoli
GOOOOOODDD!0
