    I now have a mallet/ tenderizer but I have used a rolling pin

    I've used everything from meat mallets, ladels, rolling pins.... anything with some weight

    I use a rolling pin too.

    I roll it a few times and then give it a few whacks.

    It's really quite theraputic actually.

    I put it between some plastic wrap or in a ziploc bag and whack it with a heavy can--I don't have a rolling pin.

    Put it in a ziplock or a plastic bag and use any of the options listed above or go for the hammer.... :laugh:

    I agree it's very therapuetic!

  • Thanks everyone! I have never flattened my chicken breast before, but it sounds like it would be very good with some of the marinades that was in another post.

    I modified a recipe I got from Good Eats for my favorite "flat" chicken dish-

    I flatten the boneless skinless breast

    dredge it in breadcrumbs (seasoned to taste)

    then put it in the oven in a little bit of olive oil to bake

    about 10-15 minutes before it's done, I top with small amount of swiss cheese and broccoli

    GOOOOOODDD!
