I know opinions are mixed on the value of metabolic testing, but for those of you that have had it done:
Did you follow the 12-week training program they gave you? I am curious about whether or not people have and how well the program worked for them.
I found out that my daily intake has been a little too low, which I thought based on reading several different articles and forum topics, but it was nice to see on paper exactly what the test calculated. I plan to follow the exercise plan to the letter, so I'm hoping to find out if anyone else has tried it.
Thanks!

We do metabolic testing in our university exercise physiology program to learn how to adjust training. So, while I've done the metabolic test to get my BMR and RMR calculations, we had to design our own workout plans afterward. I fully believe that the information is beneficial to proper training, though. Good luck with the plan!0

Thanks. That's interesting. I thought the exercise plan was part of what you got when you do the testing. Maybe only some places do that part? I did it at a state university.0

Where did you get it done at?
Mine was at my gym (Lifetime). I had the metabolic and the cardiopoint (had my HR zones tested and set for my monitor to help me be more productive at losing weight with the exercise peice of it).
I am still just starting so can't comment on progress, but it seems easy to follow so far (the exercise plan). As for the food intake, I was consuming too few calories as well based on the testing. I've adjusted my food settings on here and we'll see what happens. I'm only in the second week of it though, sorry I can't comment more. Good luck to you, give it your best shot!0 -
I got it done at the university here. They were really nice and set up the plan for me to follow. Now I have to commit to it, but I am sufficiently motivated, so it should not be a problem. I do need to eat more, though, so I changed my activity level on here to make it more closely match what I needed. Then I manually changed my calorie goal.0
