Im making Spinach pie for dinner tonight. I need ideas what to pair it with. Im having a spinach salad for lunch today. So another salad wouldnt really work. The spinach pie is kinda high in sodium tonight cause i have to use canned ham instead of actual ham. Any ideas for what to pair it with?

Sounds good! How do you make spinach pie, if you don't mind. :) Thanks!

    2 medium eggs,
    1/2 cup bread crumbs
    1 canned ham
    1/2 cup of milk
    1 tsp baking soda
    90 grams cheddar cheese
    1 package spinach

cook the spinach, while its cooking. combine the egg, milk and baking soda. Add in the ham and some of the cheese
When the spinache is done cooking drain it and get any extra moisture out with a cheese cloth or paper towel. Then add to the mixture. Finally mix in the bread crumbs.
Bake for 15 minutes at 350.
Add the remaining cheese then bake another 5 minutes at 350.

    I divid it into 6.
so per my servings i get

    calories - 167
    Carbs - 10
    Fat - 8
    Protein - 14
    Fiber - 1
    Sodium - 653.

Im wondering if it would work without the baking soda or if i can use something instead one tsp was 1259 sodium. just a little insane. Also the canned ham has 1381 sodium per can. I think regular ham is better. Havent checked that out yet.
  • try a cup of soup. chicken and rice would go very nicely with that spinach pie
