I plan on kicking butt in the gym to burn lots of calories (probably spend 1-2 hours in there).

Then I will figure out all the calories I plan on eating. Like, 5oz of turkey, with a cup of mashed potatos and whatnot.

I don't think I will actually measure like I usually do, but I think I can eyeball it pretty well just for this day.

I am going to eat. What ever I want   I love Thanksgiving.

Now of course, my tastes have changed drastically since last year so I will likely eat carrots instead of chips. The stuffing will be made with whole grain/wheat bread and chicken broth. The taters mashed with skim milk and chicken broth instead of heavy cream and butter. There will be 4 different fresh veggies with the meal.

Now the rolls are a different story (step away Tam, you cant have my rolls!....get your own!)

Any good healthy recipes would be very appreciated.

I plan on waking up early and getting some cardio done while watching the Macy's Parade. I have been preparing myself for this for a while! I will be eye-balling what goes on my plate and probably just get what I know my "shrunken" tummy will tolerate without shoving my face full like in the past! I also know that dessert won't be all gone in one day, so I will be satisfied with a serving instead of the whole pie! I'm ready!! No dread here:noway:

I am going to get to the gym where we live and do my normal cardio and eat but just watch what I am putting into my mouth. I have found that I get full really fast and learning to use smaller plates and drinking my water too. Might have a glass of wine or so, but then I have it all over again on Friday and Saturday too. So I have to make my workout good in the morning.

that would be a great challenge!! We could all pull out our weights and dance, exercise and do strength training wilst watching really big balloons float down the street. Man I wish I could see that in person. I love NYC!

I think I'm going into with the mindset of simply portion control...and lots of am exercise w/ a smaller breakfast than normal. We eat around 2 so lunch & dinner are pretty much mashed together anyways....just like delicious, delicious mashed taters.

You could join me in my calorie burn as I cuss at the Lions. It isn't like they're going to WIN this year. I'm sure if I put my handweights on while I swing my arms in the air in frustration, that'll count for something.

I'm really not thinking about it. My in-laws are hosting it, so I have no control over how the food is made. I'm not going to take tiny quantities, but I do plan on taking small bites, savoring, eating slowly, and stopping when I'm full.

It'll be a good time for me to show off my slimmer figure while still proving I can eat "regular" food. The extended family doesn't seem to believe me that I basically eat whatever I want, just in smaller portions and I exercise more.

I also hope to get a nice walk in after dinner with the ladies in the family...

I am trying to figure out how to work out.
Our house is being invaded so my workout room is going to end up a bedroom!
    :grumble:
I do not LOVE Thanksgiving, but I do know that I am sure I'll go over 1500.... those dang homemade rolls!
