Scale question

I just bought a new scale. I was using an analog scale and now a digital one. I realize that the digital is way more acurate and reads about 1 lb heavier than the analog. Should i adjust my weight up one pound, showing one less pound lost for me, or go to my starting weight and add a pound there, and adjust accordingly?

  • I would just adjust your weight unless it's from a dr office ( I HATE their scales because it shows I'm 5lbs heavier). Digital is so much better but if you weigh urself frequently it could give you scale anxiety. Weigh only once or twice a week. Good luck!

Don't log gains just losses. It really isn't a gain because its just an adjustment for your new scale. Just move forward.

Wow, you're lucky that you only showed a one pound difference between your digital and analog. With me it was almost a 7 pound difference so it was shocking and disappointing to know that I had been almost as heavy as I was while pregnant. Once I got past the disappointment I went ahead and adjusted my starting weight up 7 pounds. For me it was a mental thing to be able to still show a loss. I think you can do either since the difference is so small. Good luck!
