BAD stomach cramps during crunches

Really bad stomach cramps during an ab workout. This is my third day doing jillian's six week six pack and my stomach cramped up reaaaally bad about three times during this. I ate an hour before workout. Is that too soon? Eating a banana now hoping potassium helps...

    Either it's gas or you need to see a doctor.

    try not eating before, i know what a lot of people say about not doing that because you need to have the calories to burn, but you dont burn them anyway till after your body converts them

    I'm not sure what you're eating before doing your crunches, but I tried eating a banana before my cardio workout, and my stomach felt really bloated. I tried drinking a smoothy, and I've not had any problems. It seems that I can't have banana before my workout!

    This happens to me as well, and I havent a clue why.

    Well I don't workout till about 2 o'clock so not eating is not an option, but I usually eat at noon instead if one like today. Still feeling it even now though ugh.

    Mine feels more like a pulled muscle, after a lay down for a few minutes it goes away

    It's not the food, it's most likely DOMS or muscle fatigue

    Yeah sounds like a muscle cramp, you can get those pretty easy with abs, especially if you bend over right after, just lean back and stretch them out when they happen

    That sometimes happens to me, I assume it is because my muscles are le tired. I tend to stretch my stomach afterwards and stop when I get a cramp. I have gradually been getting better.
