    For the HRM, I think the balance between thrifty and good enough quality is important. I think the Polar F4 or F6 may be your best bet.

    The peril in economizing too much is that they don't work, and the whole point of the HRM is accuracy.

    I think several folks on here went with a cheap one to begin with and then upgraded because the inexpensive ones broke or just plain didn't work.

    That's just MHO, though. . .anyone else?

    I have this HRM too from woot.com. I love mine as well!! It is really eye-opening to find out just how many calories you really are burning during a workout.
