Question about calories as you lose weight

Quick question:

I started myfitnesspal with a goal of 1,340 calories per day. Since then, I have lost 6 lbs. Shouldn't my calorie goal be lower now that I have lost weight? Does this ever adjust or do I continue with 1340 until I reach my goal?

Once you hit a 10lb loss, MFP will ask if you want to adjust your goals. :)

You can adjust yourself by going under goals, change goals, then update your weight. Mine changes about 10 calories per lb of weight I lose.
  • it will ask you if u want to change the setting like an auto update after you lose your first 10 lbs.. :)

The less you weigh the less calories you burn, but unless it's a significant change in weight it's not that much of a difference.

If you were to take someone that weighs 120 lbs, and you weigh 200 lbs ..then yea there's a huge difference.
