Trouble with sugar...

Doesn't seem to matter what I include or avoid, my daily sugars are over! I did get some helpful info regarding fruit serving sizes yesterday from a nutritionist, but I'm still a bit confused and concerned...one of my reasons to lose weight is so I can avoid diabetes. Does anyone have any suggestions or good info to share??
