So I just ordered boots from Victoria secret, well just got them. I ordered a size 8 I can wear a 71/2 8 but always get an 8 in boots. So They are sooo cute but feel big in the feet and the part by my leg they are knee high boots. I am totally not sending them back and will deal with the little big. I hate paying to send back. Plus I want to wear them. So is it possible to shrink your feet tooo. Anyone?:noway:

You can lose fat in the bottom of your feet, but you have to have REALLY low body fat (2-3% for a man, 5-6% for a woman) and it causes a lot of pain to walk. Other than that, you'll really only see fat loss in the foot if you've lost a lot of weight, just like you can gain a size if you gain weight.0

Might be due to less fluid retention, too. My feet and ankles got "smaller" but because I lost all the excess fluid I used to have in them.0

My feet shrunk about a half a size - maybe a full size at times - but I lost 50lbs!
Maybe just the shoes you ordered?0 -
When I lost 40lbs I went down a shoe size.. but if you're just down a few pounds my guess would be water retension is causing your issue.0

Ok, don't take this the wrong way but I looked at your profile and you had a small amount of weight to loose so your feet probably were not greatly affected. I know that my feet have been affected by my weight gain, 90lbs with baby number one made my feet go from 8.5 to 11 wide and as I loose weight my shoes have gotten smaller in one way or another (no longer a wide at least!)
The best time to try on new shoes is in the evening when any fluid build up or normal swelling is going to be there so maybe you will have to throw on some thicker socks! Considering your stats songs answer is probably the most accurate for you, and just like clothes no two size 8's are the same anymore

I believe VS has free return shipping with their label on the bill.0

1st month all my shoes were too loose. I think as Shore said it was the prior sodium intake, thus water retention which was now gone. It was funny tho. I put my shoes on and nearly killed myself in the 1st step! had to buy new sandals!0

YES YES YES!!!! I had the same "problem" Although I can't complain. LOL.
I have a pair of shoes that I wear ALOT and spent about $100 on them. They are SO loose now, they are a clog type (like Dansko's) and I almost walk out of them every time! You definitely lose (and gain!) in places you wouldn't think!0 -
Mine got narrower. I lost 100 pounds and I used to be an EEE, and had to buy my shoes where they have wide sizes. Now I am a standard D.0

I noticed no difference at all in my feet. heh :laugh:0

I've gone down a half size and no longer have to get "wide".0

For me I definitely lost weight in my feet. I have two really cute pairs of shoes that at one point fit great but once I lost weight they are huge and I need about 1/2 size smaller. They are like flip flops when I wear them so I rarely ever do.:ohwell: I also got some really cute boots last Christmas that are knee height. When I bought them they fit great and I love them. But since then I gained about 30lbs:sad: and it takes all my strength to get the zipper to the top. They are pretty snug. They are getting to fit better again now that I am losing the weight and I know will be perfect again soon. So for me yes gained and lost in my feet you definitely can no doubt about it.0

Well I have been selling shoes as a specialist for three years now and the answer is
Yes and No.
Yes: You can lose fat off of your feet but it tends to only happen with significant weight loss or water retention such as with pregnancy.
And No: Losing weight should not change your shoe size. Your shoe size may change by a 1/2 size due to manufacturing differences and the fact that a 1/2 size is only a fraction of an inch. The main difference you may see is in width. The width of your feet may change but this is particularly in those whose weight causes them to wear a wide size and not in those of us who wear mediums. (B for women and D for men) The exception is boots which must accommodate the extra girth in your calves which are affected by weight gain.
I am living proof that weight doesn't have to affect your feet because at 50 lbs overweight I still wear a childrens size 3.0 -
Thanks I am not the only one. I kept the shoes because in the winter I steal my hubbys thick socks anyway. I could not wait to wear them either. Thanks for responding. And Yes I lost a little this time for running but I was over 200 lbs after 2nd pregnancy and didn't remember shoes being different. Its not only these but my other ones too, weird better start taking in some more sodium..
Thanks
