Elbows? Like this thing... in the middle of your arm? If I am getting you right.. then no, never had that problem. Maybe you are not keeping your arms in a good posture when you run, try researching that!
  • Never my elbows, but my shoulder hurts when I run... it's been like that my whole life and I've never figured out what it was! You may want to rub some icy hot on them to ease the pain! Good luck!

You may be holding your arms too stiffly... try to drop them every so often (every few minutes or so, or before or after a water break) for 30 seconds and see if that helps! Energy spent holding your arms is energy better directed to your legs for running. :)

    Good luck!

Im quite new to running but maybe you are too tense in your arms - try to relax them more?

Not sure about running outside as opposed to treadmill - sorry... :(

Hmm.. I agree with the other posters that your arms are probably too stiff.

I would suggest this next time before you jog: Stand up straight, stretch your arms up above your head (with your fingers laced together) and feel the stretch. Then, slowly, bring your arms down.. and **** them up so your for-arms are touching your biceps, then **** them down once again so they're at a 90 degree angle. And take a deep breath, then start your jog.

I went to a good form running clinic and that's what they suggested for me. Adjust your arms based on what is more comfortable.
