I just got finished working out about 30 minutes ago, I worked out for about an hour doing 40 minutes of circuits and 20 minutes of running. I want to have a glass of wine but I am not sure if this will negatively affect/effect(i can never remember which one to use) my workout. Somebody, Anybody please help................I really hope the answer is it's ok haha.

a typical glass of wine is 100-150 calories, and will NOT negate a whole workout of an hour. Would you have had it if you hadn't worked out? If the answer is yes, then have it! (Just don't have the whole bottle!)0

Thank you so much for your answer, and hehe you just helped me realize something. I didn't mean about the calories I meant about recovery and the benefits of my workout. I just want to make sure I didn't just reverse or stop the good things I did during my workout. Sorry I wasn't clear and thank you for helping me realize that.0 -

i don't think it would do any harm, besides,a glass of red wine a day is a good thing for your heart and what not.0

It depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you're just here to lose a couple pounds then it won't hinder your weight loss effort at all. I would recommend that you drink in moderation and count the calories.
If you are training for a fitness/figure competition then I cannot recommend that you have any at all. There's more to the diet and exercise plan (carb depletion/loading and peaking at the right time) for these sort of things.0 -
i have heard (from this site) that the main issue with drinking alcohol when you are trying to lose weight is that the body turns to burning the alcohol first, so it hinders the process.0

uh oh.... kidding, I can drink up until 6 weeks prior to the show, but I MAY stop before that even, depending on my progress and how far I feel I pushed myself to be ready. :happy:0
