Hey everyone,

I was on here ages ago but basically gave up.
I went to the doctors yesterday and he basically told me off for my weight (even though i only eat my 3 meals a day and make sure i eat balanced meals and exercise as much as possible) so now he has annoyed me enough to get motivated again and lose the weight i need to.

The problem i find is since i have started this job (started in january) i feel so tired by time i get home i cant always be bothered to do any exercise, which i know if the wrong attitude.
Is there anything anyone would recommend that doesn't take too long but is effective.
I am a bellydancer so i do dance training a lot but think i need to be doing more than that even though it gives me a good work out

Thanks everyone
xx

30 day shred. I take the dog for a walk instead of doing the cool down. Start there, you will find you have a ton of energy afterward. Also make sure you are getting enough sleep.

I cycle commute to work each day, so get exercise both before (wake up) and after (de-stress if a heavy day).

Id eat something before you finish work. Hit the gym for an hour or two then go home for dinner. Two days a week maybe

Get a gym with a tv, totally done it for me like.

Excellent! I was going to suggest one of JM's dvd's, but no need anymore.

I work fulltime and have two toddlers at home as well, so by the time they're in bed at 8pm, I'm usually ready for the couch. But I just force myself to do this dvd every evening and once you get started it's actually not that hard - it's only 20 minutes after all. And YES, you'll get results - make sure to stick to it though! I absolutely swear by JM, think I secretly fancy her at this stage
I finished the shred and now went on to Ripped in 30, same principle, just different moves.

I get up at 7, tend to an 8 year old, 16year old and my fella, getting them and myself out of the house for work/school etc, WALK to work 8 hours a day and then WALk home again, then come home, clean and tidy, wash everyones clothes, etc, cook tea, have a bath blah blah blah, so yeah i get you, im knackered, but at the end of the day YOU are the only who can push yourslef, yes your tired, most of us after a days work, but the truth of the matter is change doesnt happen unless you push yourself and unfortunately you have to see past the tiredenss and spur yourslef on, do a quick but meaningful excercise, walk as many places as you can and keep moving, you dont have to do anything hardcore, do some yoga, 30DS, or go swimming, something which is enjoyable and relaxing yet still burning cals, COME NO GIRL YOU CAN DO THIS!

    hiya!

while i don't have children (yet), i can completely sympathise with you! i start work at around 8am every day and often am not home until 6.30/7 so the thought of dragging myself to the gym is difficult.

with all the popularity of jillians fitness DVDs, i bought banish fat boost metabolism last week and i have done it two mornings before work :) its really good! so that may be my saviour! i do try and go spinning once during the week after work and i am attempting to start early morning spinning classes at gym but it starts at 6am so its a very early start to get there!

let us all know what you think of 30 day shred as I am really tempted to buy it :)

I get home and force myself to go for a run, only a mile or two at the moment but beginning to build this up...if it's raining i get out my Zumba DVD and do a 20 minute class on there...then do housework and start tea before my fiance comes home - then i can crash out!

I find if i sit down, i then don't get up to do any exercise!

Interested in the 30DS let me know how you get on, i might buy it when it comes around to pay day...

i know where your coming from i have 3 children and a full time job where i am up at 6am and dont get home unitl 7:30pm. after cooking and cleaning it leaves little room for anything more but i try. ive found the kinect useful as its something i can do at home when i do get a spare 30 mins and the little things really do work: park a little further from work and walk or get off bus one stop early etc...always take the stairs rather than the lift and simple tips like rather than taking one lot of washing up the stairs i do it in 3 trips whites then colours then denim/dark just as i would wash it. these sounds silly little things but all add up...just focus on what you want and the will power will follow!!!
