Friends taking me to a bday dinner at a restaurant that has no nutritional data. Any experiences here? What did you eat to avoid breaking the calorie bank?

I love Carrabbas. I have had their chicken noodle soup which is low cal and very yummy. Its in the MFP database. It is high in sodium though. Or maybe some grilled chicken. They have several items in the database. They are pretty good with making whatever itemn you want. My husband always orders different stuff thats not on the menu at the time...lol
  • I don't remember any specific names, but they have a few nice grilled options, chicken and seafood.
  • If you get a pasta, get the sauce on the side!

type carrabas into the food search like you are gonna add it to dinner, there is tons of carrabas meals on there
  • I get the side salad with dressing on the side, broccoli or seasonal veggies and pollo rosa maria. I only eat one of the breasts, then take the other one home which is wonderful leftover. Oh and now they even have skinny cocktails that are pretty delicious. Enjoy. Oh and tell them not evn to bring the bread, cause it is SO good to me, I'll eat a whole loaf. lol... Carrabbas is my fave!!

First of all, happy birthday! You should enjoy yourself tonight without feeling like you have to count every single calorie.

That being said, I went to look at their menu, and here is what I would pick if I were you:
    - Margherita pizza (ask for a little less cheese)
    - Italian Chicken pizza (ask for a little less cheese)
    - Grilled Norwegian salmon with veggies (ask for sauces/butter on the side)

I find their food good, but very high in sodium, so drink lots of water. I often get the chicken trio, which has three different types of boneless breast. The mussels appetizer is very good too.

Thanks! My birthday is tomorrow and unfortunately, I have "celebration meals" that people have scheduled for me through Sunday. I want to enjoy with caution because I dob't want this week to hurt my hard work so far. I already did some Olive Garden damage on Monday-LOL

ooh, that's what I'd get as an entreé, and a side salad with balsamic vinegar and oil on the side. If I felt like a splurge, I'd add bleu cheese crumbles.

    Yum!

My hubby and I just ate there. We split the salad with grilled shrimp and scallops ( low fat dressing on the side) and the grilled chicken pizza. We asked that the pizza be made with LESS than half of the usual amount of cheese. It was delic!

I always get the chicken marsala with veggies. It is the healthiest option, but salty as hell. Drink lots.
