I just started a couple days ago. This is actually the beginning of day 3 for me. I feel amazingly awesome...weighed this morning and have lost 11.8 pounds...although my ticker on here must round up...because it says 12! I was craving food like crazy yesterday...especially with all the smells in the breakroom at work! I remained faithful to my plan and was definitely rewarded this morning on the scale. I don't know how long I am going to do this...would love to say the whole 60 days...but am starting with a small goal of 10 days and will adjust from there, depending on how I feel.
I am starting with a veggie juice this morning (tomato, beet, small amt of onion, bell pepper, carrot, celery, cilantro and kale)...will bring a fruit juice with me for a snack. (honeydew, carrot, ginger, kale, apple, orange)
Please no hate mail about dangers...regain...water/muscle loss...I have seen a Dr. prior to starting.
Have a GREAT day everyone!

And btw...that film was great!0

That's great! What kind of juicer did you get?0

That is awesome! I have thought about doing this also.. I'm so proud of you! I have fasted before but never got past 72hrs. haha. But I am so excited to here this.
It does wonders for your skin. I felt so great when I did my first fast. I would love to try again.0 -
That's awesome! It's inspiring... My brother is actually doing it and he is on his third day. He says it was harder than when he got off drugs!0

Do you add protein powder to the juice? If not, where are you getting protein from?
I have watched the docu, but I should probably watch it again as a refresher.0 -
People have been fasting for hundreds even thousands of years. If you do it properly and for short periods it shouldn't do you any harm.
If you can't manage a liquid diet try low carb/slow carbing - a la 4 hour body Tim Ferriss - I'm not an advocate of this as a lifestyle like he is - former bullemic, I don't do binging ANYMORE! However, I lost 5lbs in the first week which gave me a real confidence boost and belief in myself.0 -
Beautiful~Looking forward to hearing more about your transformation. I would say go for it. There a girl named Angela Stokes Monarch that has lost a large amount of weight. I just love reading her blog posts! I find the work she is doing to be very fascinating~
You can see her transformation and read her blog here on http://rawreform.blogspot.com/
Many blessings~0 -

I have watched the docu, but I should probably watch it again as a refresher.
Every living thing that is made of a cellular structure has proteins in it. Fruits and vegetables have proteins and essential aminos in them just like meat does. I have one juice recipe that has 40 grams of protein in a 12 ounce serving...no protein powder needed!0 -
I was going to do the Juice fast but after speaking to two of my doctors, they both suggested a smoothie diet. Saying that the amount of protein we get from juicing is not enough and the smoothie diet will do that for us. So I believe I will go this route when I am ready.
But best of luck to you all~0 -

Mind sharing that recipe. I am planning to start a week long juice feast next week, and I want to make sure to get enough protein to keep as much muscle as possible. I'm trying to do as much research as possible before starting next Monday.0 -
Starting day 4....15.4 pounds lost so far. . Feeling great!0

I wanted to try this but the cost involved seemed pretty heavy. What does one day of juicing cost you approximately?0

I'm buying my juicer tomorrow, the Breville Juice Fountain Plus as well! I start on Monday, and I'm so excited!! I watched the documentary also. My husband, mom, and stepdad are doing it too, so I've got a lot of support. None of them have nearly as much weight to lose as I do, but that's okay! I'm sticking with it no matter what!! Good luck to you all!0

Not providing any hate-comments here but 12 lbs in 3 days? What was your start weight? Unless it was >300 that sounds extreme.
Enjoy it over the next 10 days but going further than that will cause your metabolism to disappear.
Also, why is everyone juicing, SMOOTHIE IT! Juicing removes the peeling where most of the fiber and nutrients are contained.0 -
I haven't done a juicing fast before but I love the feeling I get when I juice. When I first started, I couldnt believe how much energy I had (no coffee required!) I became a believer very quickly0
