New scale says I'm 3 lbs heavier

I just bought a new, presumably more accurate scale and it says I'm 3.5 lbs heavier than my old one. I'm so motivated by seeing my weight go down. I've lost 4 lbs and when I enter the new scale's weight, it's going to say I lost 1/2 a pound. Of course I realize the number on the scale doesn't matter and it doesn't take a away what I've achieved, but it bums me out. I know it's silly, but I really want that number to reflect what I actually lost. Is there any way to change your starting weight?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes, you can change you starting weight. Go to where you weigh in and click on "Edit Previous Entries". At the top, you can change the starting weight.0

Not every scale is going to be exactly the same. Your old one may have been inaccurate. Or your new one might be. It's hard to tell. That's why I've heard it recommended to always track your progress with the same scale. I used to weigh myself on an analog scale. When I got my digital scale, I realized the analog scale was weighing me about 5 lbs less. Yes, I liked the lower numbers, but now I realize they weren't real. It's a bummer, but I'd rather know my true weight.0
