The grilled vegetable boca burger and la preferida fat free refried beans. They are both under lunch in my diary so you can take a looksey at their nutritional content. Are the Bocas too processed? I'm not sure how you prepare refried beans but they would seem to be less processed than bocas, but they have 200 more mg of sodium and less protien! Any adivice/insight would be SUPER helpful!!! I want to be healthy not just thin!:)

I think the boca burgers are to processed, have you taken a look at the label? Mainly onions and mushrooms as the ingredients among other unknown things lol I would totally go with something else.

Even a can or pouch of tuna is better.

I"m not overly concerned with "processed" or not. I'm actually not that concerned with sodium either. Yeah, it's not the best but I've read many articles saying the dangers of sodium are over exaggerated. Processed = convenient in my world and I need convenience.

However, black beans taste better than refried!
  • In general, I tend to stick with the closer to the earth the better. This means the longer it sits in the freezer, on the food shelves or in the store, the less I want to eat it. But remember, there is definitely something to be said for convenience and moderation. Boca's are definitely better for you than a bag of doritos but probably worse if you made your own veggie burgers and froze them yourself.
