I made my intro post a few weeks ago, but I feel I could use more friends who are like me.

Do you know what a Viltrumite is? How about a Cibopath? Do you have a crush on Scott Pilgrim?
Do you have an obscure hobby like amateur vulcanology? What about just cross-stitch? How do you feel about Japanese zombie films?

I am a major geek/dork and would like to make more friends on this site who share my interests or at least will "get the references I refer to." (See, even that's an MC Chris reference. Won't it stop?!?!) If you occasionally "ruin" a perfect day with a martini or scotch, all the better. ^^

And with that, who would you most like to cosplay as?
I'd love to be Dr. Mrs. The Monarch. ^^

Hmm. My favorite costume at dragon*con a few years back was a most excellent Yufi. It is my life mission to meet Romero before he dies. I cross stitch custom made vidoe game patterns. Does that count?

I'm not a huge geek, more quirky than anything. Mostly I'm a geek of music.

I love anything Batman. I love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Steampunk fashion, anything from the romantic and classical eras. I could probably go on...

I am thinking Vulcanology has something to do with the Vulcan race and not the study of volcanoes.

Sorry, I only related to the scotch part.

I was just curious, by 'amateur' do you mean that you study/visit volcanoes?
I've been obsessed w/ the idea of sleeping out on Stromboli - have you done this?

    ETA: Nice screen name!

No, I meant the study of volcanoes. I love science, myself, even though I'm not so keen on "math" and "facts."

I would love to see some good video game cross-stitch patterns. I am working on a Banksy design currently, but I would love to do some 8-bit needlework. It seems a lot of folks who do it aren't keen on sharing patterns as they sale on Etsy and such.

I've never been near Stromboli, but it seems enticing.

I am a geek. I read and reread Jane Austen books. Then watch the movies and complain while getting viscerally agitated if the adaptation doesn't follow the book or makes mistakes about clothing choices in the 19th century. I giggle at C.S. Lewis's Narnia books all the time (which I also reread) and I complained about the last movie adaptation, Voyage of the Dawn Treader (which was ridiculous in how off they were from the book).
I like morally complex (a.k.a. evil) heroes in sci-fi and comics, such as Lex Luther, Anakin (from Star Wars), and Syler (Heroes).

In addition, I like, and repeatedly profess that I like, to be in company with people I feel enlighten me. Which would be commendable, if I didn't include celebrity gossip in my enlightenment.

    :)
