Long time lurker, first time poster

Hello all,
As the subject says, I've been a long time reader of the forums, using the tracking tools for a couple of months now, and finally decided to post a little something. I've been active all my life but in recent years slipped into some bad habits (stress, job, the usual). I decided enough was enough and it was time to get serious about my health once again.
Over the course of a few months, I worked hard on shedding the 'easier' (I use the term loosely) excess through a process of steadily increasing exercise and full-scale switch to healthy eating habits. Calorie intake was somewhat hypocaloric for periods, but eventually I hit the plateau as expected so now I'm in the process of slowly increasing my calories to a more normal maintenance level (expecting to put a few lbs back on in the process) before beginning the next phase. I'm looking forward to continuing to use the vast community resources to strike that healthy 'balance' which will allow me to continue to lose the remaining weight.
So that's about it. Thanks to all who post at these forums for the insight and encouragement they provide to everyone.
