NSV from my daughter

I occassionally ask my daughters to go running with me. (On the days that a much slower pace and some whining about whether or not we are almost done doesnt really matter.) There are other times that I just want to go and run at my own speed and not have to worry about anyone else.

This last weekend my oldest daughter who is 15 said, "Mom, I really think I need to start running with you all the time." I was curious why she had made that statement. She is a cheerleader and practices about 8hrs a week as it is. Her response was "Your thighs have gotten so much smaller and your legs look so good I need to start running too!"

What an ego boost that was! Not too mention I finally wore a pair of Nike running tights that still had the tag on them from when I had bought them in April. They were definitley running "Tights" and I had previously felt self conscious wearing them. Now I actually feel I can wear them and not have people run the other way :) I also decided to measure since I hadn't measured in over a month and I have lost a half inch on my hips and a full inch on my thighs. Whooo Hooo who needs the scale anyway????

That is so true the girls are very honest and tell me all the time if they don't like what I am wearing, my hair is messed up they have no hesitations in telling me so it truly made me feel good.

Good for you! My 2 year old saw a picture of me from my honeymoon when I weighed 178 and didn't recognize me because she only knew me when I weighed 250lbs! She kept asking "who's that?"

Aww, but look at you and how far you have come. You are getting close to your goal weight. It must feel good even for you to look back and see the results.
