So ... Hubby and I discussed children, and the fact we both want one well before moving in together, let alone getting engaged and married. At first he's 'I want to buy a house' so we bought a house, then he's like 'I want to be debt free' we'll be debt free in the next 4 weeks.

Now I'm telling him I'm working towards my 'ideal weight' so we can start trying to concieve and he says

'that's the end of us' and I was like what?! and I know what he meant, that's the end of us alone, and us just doing what we want, he said if we have a kid what we want to do will be limited ... and that's his fear, we won't be able to travel, pick up and go when we want, we'll be living for someone else ...

Men, some insight would be wonderful. Ladies with families, is this additude toward bringin a new life into the picture normal? I'll be 29 later this month, and my husband will be 40 in January. We both have great careers, make great money, own a house together. I feel for the first time in my life, that I'm ready ... will he ever be?
