A study released by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that the closer that participants adhered to a Mediterranean diet, the slower their cognitive decline. In other words, a Mediterranean diet could help prevent Alzheimer's disease and other cognitive disorders that come with age.

I just liked that it says the diet emphasizes: Drinking red wine in moderation (optional).

It made me smile thinking about what part is optional the red wine or the moderation. :drinker:

There have been other studies showing that people who drink red wine in moderation have less incidence of dementia. Actually, moderate alcohol use in general, but red wine specifically showed the least incidence.
