I Just Realized...
I have not been drinking as much water as I need to be...Probably not even 64 oz a day!
After my 100th trip to the bathroom, I was thinking 'Man, I sure have had a LOT of water today'...But then I really thought about it and added it up...I've only had 3, well, now 3.5, bottles of water today...And I'm thinking that's a lot! That's a problem!!
And that's probably the reason that my weight loss as been almost non-existent...Isn't water an important part of weight loss? I mean, obviously it is or we wouldn't track our water intake.
Do y'all think not drinking enough water could have stalled my weight loss efforts?

Absolutely. Just like with starvation mode when you aren't getting enough calorie, if you aren't getting enough water, you're body tried to hold on to it as much as it can. Plus your body simply doesn't work as efficiently when it's dehydrated. That's why when I was getting ready to lose weight I bought a Nalgene 32oz water bottle and make sure I drink at least 2, if not 3 fill ups a day. :drinker:0

That's what I did too! If I haven't finished at least one by the time I leave work, I chug the rest of it!0 -
Please drink plenty of water. Experts say drink half your body weight in OZ every day. So for me, at 154 lbs, I'd have to drink 77 oz.. If I drink 3 32oz cups, I've had plenty.
If you don't like the taste, use crystal light, or sprinkle a little splenda in it with a lemon slice (or squeeze the fake lemon). Keep it at your desk, and keep sipping it every few minutes. Eventually, your hand will automatically reach for that bottle all day long.
Your cells need that water to help them do their jobs -- it's called osmosis - when fat goes away, your cells need water to help show it to the door!!! DRINK WATER!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
In one of her workout DVDs that I have Leslie Sansone said that the body needs water to metabolize fat...that was all I needed to hear to start chugging it!
Here's how I make sure to get in my 64+ ounces per day...I have a 25 ounce stainless steel bottle, and I make myself drink one full bottle first thing in the morning...in about an hour to two hours, I need to go to the bathroom, and as soon as I'm done in the bathroom, I drink another bottle of water...so each time I go to the bathroom I am refilling with 25 more ounces...I have all of my water in for the day by noon or 1 pm and even on not so great weeks food and exercise wise, I have continued to lose weight. I definitely believe in the power of water...so drink up! :drinker:0 -

Why are you bumping 7 year old threads?!
because they're a hell of a lot better than the (feces) that dominates the board now0 -
