Don't stress....just start over from here. It was only one meal and it takes 3500 extra calories to gain one pound. So, I don't think it did any damage:happy: Just make your next meal or snack a healthy one.:flowerforyou:

I feel ya on that.. it's a tight line between depriving yourself and feeling like you CAN"T have something. I've been steadily losing weight for about 4 weeks.. I've found that I make room for my "extras". If I'm craving a candy bar, and I've already hit my limit of calories i know I need to ride the bike for 30 min to make up for those calories. The key here is not to deprive yourself.. do the extra work --either by planning out your meals including that extra something special, or by gettin a workout in. I know I wouldn't be able to go with out a slice of pizza, a bread stick, or a cheeseburger everynow and again.. but I put it in where it fits in.. This way you're controlling your food intake.. and your cravings aren't controlling you... :D hope this helps!

Now you know---And knowing is half the battle.

Seriously though, part of what is great about this lifestyle change is learning how to make better choices. But, even though it was not a great choice to eat the breadsticks, it's not going to blow your whole week of doing well. And, if you indulge, you can always do some exercise to make up for those calories. An hour on the elliptical, and poof... they are gone! lol

I feel the same way today! I have done excellent for 2 weeks, since I started this, we had a retirement lunch for some one, and it put me over my cals for the day! I hope my younguns are great and let me get some excercise in! Even if it is dancing around the house with them, or playing airplane on my knees to get some crunches in!!!

Tomorrow is another day. Don't beat yoursef up or you will only feel worse. You live, you learn, eat a little better and move a little more tomorrow- you'll feel twice as good about yourself!

just exercise tonight-- don't sweat it.

I had a "hot turkey bowl" for lunch with hubby-- 701 calories. I'm just making sure I have salad for dinner-- you still have to "live"--

I read somewhere here that if you're good for awhile it's okay to splurge here and there because your body is used to the healthy food and sometimes going over speeds up your metabolism!
