finding the right exercise

So i've done hot yoga. It made me feel awesome but isn't helping me build the muscle i want. Then I walked for over two hours. Burned a bunch of calories but man was it boring! Today i did Zumba, and it didn't get my heart rate up where i wanted it-plus I have terrible coordination and almost sprained my ankles a bunch of times. None of these exercises feel right for me-and if I don't really love it, I won't keep doing it.
Now I'm thinking I should try Tae Kwon Do. I did it as a kid and loved how safe and secure it made me feel, in addition to strong and slim. I also have a job that occasionally requires me to move very fast to protect myself or someone else from physical assault.
Any suggestions?

Have you looked at other martial arts? Kickboxing? If you really want to build musle, you'll need to start lifting.0

a couple people have suggested kickboxing. I will check that out-and yes, lifting is something i know how to do. Thanks for the reminder.0
