    honey dew, strawberries, pineapple

Turkey sausage, turkey cutlets (serve with spaghetti sauce...yum)

    lean pork

I tried this new chicken sausage with pasta and spinach...it was delious and only 140 calories for 1 link.

ground chicken or turkey to make turkey burgers (puree some veggies for moisture) and mix together

What about raw/unsalted nuts and seeds? I use a tbs of sunflower seeds on my salads for extra crunch and good fats! Another great thing is quinoa it's got protein and iron and I find it's yummy any time of day in anything!

what is quinoa? I do eat sunflower seeds on my salad but I have some still so I don't need new ones. :)

Why no beef? Or pork, or turkey? There are other sources of meat besides chicken and fish. I cook a lot with lean-ish beef, and turkey sausage.

Just a couple of things, you may already know about them but Mission brand makes some great healthy tortillas . They have whole wheat ones but I being the white bread junkie that I am was thrilled to find the carb balance flour tortillas that are ridiculously high in fiber and actually taste really good.

Also in the way of meat, I know it can feel like you are stuck with chicken a lot. I can eat, but don't like most fish (unless its the deep fried stuff from a fast food which kind of ruins the healthy side of fish in the first place) but have found many meat options besides chicken. Tonight for dinner we are having ham steaks that are like 97% fat free. I love ham because it is full of flavor but low on fat for the most part, you do sometimes have to watch out for carbs because of brown sugar or honey glazed varieties but most are quite healthy. You can also get lean cuts of pork (loin chops for example) and I typically buy my ground beef from Sam's Club where I can get up to 93% lean. So as you can see there is a world of options outside of chicken and fish when it comes to eating healthier, just have to check the labels and you'll be surprised.

Beef = Iron and Taste! I think it's a little more calories but worth it. And lean ground beef is often lower fat than ground turkey. I eat steak and hamburgers all the time. The key is portion control. 6oz steak = good. 16oz steak = bad.
