ChaLEAN Xtreme & 30 Day Shred Hybrid?!?

So I am half way done with CLX (just started week 3 of Push) and I am interested in trying 30 Day Shred. I was thinking that maybe I could do the 30DS on the days that I do not lift with CLX. I don't want to overdo my body, so maybe I could do light weights with 30DS (for more of a circuit training/cardio effect) since I am lifting heavy with CLX. Any thoughts, suggestions or concerns from people that have experience with either CLX and/or 30DS.

Thanks in advance for your replies :flowerforyou:

I think you could do 30DS in place of Burn Intervals and Burn It Off just to mix it up now and then. I don't think I would do all of them though, b/c that's not the point of ChaLEAN Extreme. CLX is all about building muscle baby, which means giving your body time to recoup too.

I actually did 30DS in December and I got pretty bored with it after week 2. I started CLX on January 1st and never looked back!! If you need to mix up your cardio and do something else those other two cardio/interval days then that's fine, but honestly you can overtrain so don't do it on the days you lift.

    It'll happen girl!! Patience!! :D

I'm currently doing m and I have tried the 30 Day Shred....

I don't see those programs complementing each other - CLX is a 12 week program and Shred is only 30 days.

Because CLX recommends that you lifting heavy (to failure), you need to have a rest day between your lifting days for muscle repair/recovery.

I would say any form of cardio (no weights) could be done on the CLX rest days, as there are already 2 other classes (Intervals & Burn It Off) that already include extra body-conditioning.

I started doing Turbo Jam classes with CLX, and now I've moved up to Turbo Fire classes.
Once I finish the final phase of CLX, I will follow the Turbo Fire/CLX Hybrid schedule.
