I really dislike "REST" days

So, if I don't give my body 1 day a week off from exercising will it slow my weight loss progression? I really really REALLY enjoy working out daily. I'm half way through my day and I'm driving myself crazy because I just want to leave my house and hit the GYM! My daily routine consists of : Turbo FIRE + zumba or strength training at night. (Mind you I just started Turbo Fire this week). Prior to that all I did was Zumba 5x's a week & weights 3x's a week... One night would be spent in a abs & buns class followed by zumba. I've been working out 7 days a week since July 3rd.
Anyone here work out 7 days a week?????

You really need two days off otherwise you're going to overtrain.. then the plateau really hits. Plus you'll get super tired and crash.0

Yes, and you're susceptible to injury as well if you don't allow your body to rest. Then, you'll be forced to take a lot more than just one day off!0

I find that I can push through my workouts better the day after a rest day, and thus I burn much more calories, can lift more weight, and end up in better shape with less body fat.
Some weeks I will take 2 rest days...not in a row, maybe like Thursday and Sunday for example, if I am really pushing extra hard and lifting uber-heavy weights.
Take your rest days when they come. Your body will thank you.0 -
If you are working out daily, you aren't maximizing your potential and not doing yourself any favors.
I have two days off and cherish those days.0 -
I`m the same way I LOVE to work out now hate taking a day so instead I just do two days of really light working out (walking) while the rest of the week I kill it on the crosstrainer , heavybag and weight work.0

My doctor said daily cardio is okay, just lower the intensity a couple days per week. If you want to be able to do strength daily, you have to rotate which muscle groups you train to make sure each muscle group gets one or two days off after you use it.0

I say just make sure to switch up your exercises to avoid a plateau. You don't have to be sedentary all day on rest days, just don't kill yourself every day of the week.0

What would a good workout pattern be? I usually workout all week then have saturday and sunday off as those are the days when Im the busiest and dont have time to exercise. Or should I work out 2 days then 2 days off type of pattern?0

I agree that you definitely need to give the body a rest. Without time to repair you are at an increased risk of injury and your fat burners are already in overdrive if you have been exercising consistently such that an extra day isn't going to help much more. You need to recover mentally and physically.
Also the whole exercising everyday can lead to exercise dependence and if you are doing that alongside weight loss you are also at a higher risk for eating disorders. Control your exercise and don't let your exercise control you0 -

But I have heard that the body needs rest. You may want to keep going, but the body needs to repair itself.0 -
3 days on 1 day off for me. If I'm feeling antsy, I jump rope for a little while.0
