I have just been on here a few weeks now but JEEZ...it hit me [hard] that once a month, body aches double after workouts, my cravings are gonna go up x10 and my motivation down x15, and its just not cool.:explode: Boo womanhood for making an already challenging journey so much harder EVERY few weeks.

On the brighter side, I'm kicking womanhood's *kitten* right outta town because I've worked out EXTRA and eaten LESS so HA! [just had to rant and get this off my chest]

Hope everyone is seeing there goals come closer to being reality:smile:

OH MY GOD!! I was wondering when or if someone was going to post a topic like this! I was actually planning on doing so, but as it hasn't reared its ugly head juuuust yet....I was going to wait it out. :)

I feel you. Since starting my new exercise regimen, I wondered how this was going to work out in *ahem* that department.

Glad I am beyond that, but being 50 poses its own set of problems. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. and it just isn't melting off as easily as it used to. The worst part so far are the body aches that are a normal part of the aging process. They seem to appear overnight. I know I need to keep active in order to keep my joints from stiffening up. Each day is a challenge, but I'm up to it! As my brother-in-law once told me, when I was crabbing about those womanly woes...."Rejoice in your youth, young woman!" He had me laughing my head off, but he was right. It passes all too quickly, so enjoy!

You just have to keep thinking in every moment of doubt [there were quite a few for me] that its JUST a few days and if you give in to all the cravings and the slacking off, it's gonna take much longer than a few days to recover. YIKES. But once it does hit, look for motivation everywhere lol.

And ladies, when one challenge ends, there's always another right? BUT at least you are trying to stay at it! :) Good job.
  • I can never do abs during this time of the month without my stomach beating my *kitten* later. Hopefully more working out will lessen the impact of those horrible, dreaded days!
