I have. I would not do it again. I have been a very healthy eater and just thought I'd see if it would help things along. Well, I think this is for people who eat very unhealthy and to get the toxins out of their body. I found it left me in a lot of pain & was really hurting my kidneys. I could only make it to the 10th day before it became unbearable. Like I said though, I don't think this was for me because I already eat very healthy, but if you are just getting started with your weight loss, i've read that it's a good way to jumpstart things and work your way in to healthy eating.

    Best of luck!

the lemonade diet works best for a few days. a combination of fresh squeezed lemon juice, honey, cayenne pepper, and doesn't cost much.

II'm not a doctor, nutritionist, or an expert in the field of weight loss so this is just my opinion based on a LOT of personal reading and research over the last year that I've been trying to figure out how to loose weight in a healthy way. So you might want to do some of your own research or talk to your doctor. I personally would not recommend it or any other detox program.

There is no proven medical benefit/need to "detox" your body. Your body has its own regulatory system and will detox itself without the need for drastic measures. Predominant medical opinion is that these detox programs are essentially bunk and have no real benefit.

Their primary claim to fame is a quickstart to weight loss. It is true that you loose weight quickly, but the weight you loose is just water weight and you gain it back as soon as you go back on a normal regimen.

    You don't need to detox.

You have these awesome things called 'kidneys' and a 'liver'. They're internal organs that:

Need energy in the form of calories to function.
    Remove toxins from the blood.
Regulate solute levels in the blood.

So, by NOT eating, you're actually doing HARM to your body's natural toxin-removal system, and not helping in any way. The tea/juice/etc. that you drink will pass through your digestive system just like everything else, except that it will offer little-or no-nutritional benefit. The inside of your internal organs are actually considered to be outside of the body because the contents don't come into contact with anything in the peritineal cavity, so how is the tea supposed to 'detox' the 'whole body?' It doesn't. If it contains sugars, they will be absorbed in the lumen of the small intestine just like any other sugar. If it contains herbs that irritate the duodenum, it'll give you diarrhea. If it contains herbs that prevents correct water absorption in the large intestine, it'll give you more diarrhea. So the excessive bowel movements associated with 'detox' is actually due to irritation of the intestinal lumen.

So, save your money on some bottled water. It'll benefit you much more.
