I'm looking for some inspiration on new foods and meals, what better place to come than to my mfp friends!
So what do you have planned to eat today?

Unfortunately since I've been really keeping track I have been on a pretty boring diet. I dont mind it so much but I find that since I'm eating many small meals a day it's more convenient (and needed for my body) to just stick to my standard albeit possibly boring foods that I can not spend an hour or more cooking:
-Egg whites, veggie sausage and that green goop smoothy/juice
-100g of turkey breast on one piece of whole grain bread (no cheese/condiments) with a small portion of a toasted seeds/grains snack.
-"shake" of nonfat milk, protein powder and a dab of organic honey after my big workout.
-I typically eat chicken breast or fish with veggies for dinner but I had to eat out somewhere....simple grilled chicken mexican street tacos with no cheese, just cilantro and fresh (no sugars/preservatives etc) hot sauce on small corn tortillas With that I had a somewhat high cal mexican sweet rice drink (245 cal).
and mid day I had a limeade which go in my "evil treats category" along with the rare (for me...every couple days) soda when I give in to one when I'm well under my net calorie goal.
I find it harder to count the calories accurately when i cook my favorite, even healthy foods in larger batches.
There is a recipe section for great ideas though!0 -
for me...
fat free activia, grapes and 25g really nutty muesli for breakfast
fruit (plums or banana) for snack
wholemeal pitta, salad and 1 thick slice of ham for lunch + fat free yogurt
oat cakes + hoummus snack
grilled chicken, veggies and about 4 small new potatoes for tea
gets me into my 1200 limit without being hungry0 -
A pan seared scallop arugula salad is my dinner tonight... I'm already salivating!!0

I guess that was yesterday (i'm a late night person). Tomorrow for a 2 week/17 pound treat I'm going to probably make indian food. Chole palak (chickpeas and spinach in a tomato curry sauce) and some flatbread. Or maybe a gluten free flatbread, homemade pizza. Problem is my favorite has bacon (candied bacon) though a very small amount....candied bacon, roasted fig, braised fennel and goat cheese on it. I might post it in the recipe section now that I think about it.0
