If every day were like today... You'd weigh 46.3 kg in 5 weeks
i am 48.9 now
i eat around 1400-1500 cals. i need to be eating my maintenance! (1670)
i exercise at least 45mins per day, or at least 6 days a week. and some toning exercises.
my excuse to myself to not eat the last few calories is 'just in case' i dont exercise even though 99% of the time i know i will.
i know this is just a mental thing but i feel like i will gain if i actually reach the 1670, or im scared i will miss a day of exercise. even though the logical part of me knows i wont put on weight.. feel free to comment but i just felt like venting a little ... thanks! feels good to talk about things, if i tried to talk to my boyfriend about this he would call me anorexic....

If you want to stop losing weight, you have to stop eating at a deficit. If you're not eating more than you NEED, as in, more than 1670, you will not gain weight.

Also, keep in mind that in maintenance mode you're likely to go up and down a few pounds here and there. It's nearly impossible to stay at the exact same weight every day for the rest of your life. So don't freak out and over-compensate if you gain a pound at some point. Just bring your calories down a little bit until you get it back off.

I undestand yesterday I pretty much ate all my calories inc exercise and was petrified it would be detrimental to my weight loss

Yup. Know those panic attacks very very well! This week has been a challenge for me after week after week of low calorie eating. We'll see what the scale says on Saturday morning. But if I have gained even one pound, I will feel defeated and have a FIT!!! Just sayin'

If the number 1670 is what's freaking you out, then maybe just add a little - say, eat 1550 a day. Do it for 2-3 weeks, watch your weight, and give it time to have an effect (these things don't happen over night). If you're still losing (but maybe less so), go to 1600 and repeat the process.

I'm not at maintenance yet, but about four months ago I completely stalled out. I met with my Registered Dietician (if you can, find one - best money I've ever spent, aside from a trainer). She took one look at my workouts and intake and was like, uh, yeah, you need to be eating more. A lot more. As in 300 calories a day more. Like you, I freaked out at the number. But I took a leap of faith (she is an RD, after all, and what do I know compared to her?) and voila. Plateau gone. The biggest tip she gave me - give any change in your diet more than two weeks to have an effect!!! And her second piece of advice was, if the number is what freaks you out, then do it gradually. Give yourself time to figure out how your body is responding, and then adapt from there.

I’m with ya girlfriend. I can only think of a few times I ate back my calories, I think it’s a mental thing with me. It always tells me I’ll weigh less if I stay on this pass…, I don’t though. ARG!

Agreed! I ate 1200 for a while, then 1400 for a couple weeks, I'm trying to stick to around 1500 now.
