How do you make sure you're not going over your cals when you travel?

I try to eat smaller portion. Since I cannot always control what I'm eating, at least I can control the quantity. When I travel, I don't expect to lose weight. I just don't want to gain!0

lol...just read this as i finished up planning out my vacation meals. i leave on monday for a 2 weeks roadtrip. i'm not going to be completely anal about it, but i do know what dates we'll be camping, there is a wedding, will at with friends some nights, with my folks on others...so i just prelogged some of the traditional feasts i know we'll have. also, i am going to keep breakfast and lunch homemade, (and by homemade, i mostly mean meaking a sandwich out of the trunk of the car.) and healthy. that will keep the cals lower, and also help keep my energy up to have fun! and on those few days that i know there are insane feasts, we have planned hikes for those afternoons.
