So, what health/fitness/diet magazines do you purchase and why?

I just subscribed to Health Magazine b/c I got a year for like $7. I periodically purchase Shape or Prevention. Any other good ones?

I get Cooking Light because I love cooking and eating and try to do it in a healthier manner. I really would like to get Shape and I'm interested to see the other suggestions people have!

I love Women's Health mag and Women's Fitness isn't bad either. I do get Shape, but I'm not going to resubscribe after this one is up. I find there are too many advertisments and the articles are just ok.

I just subscribed to Shape. They have a deal for 2 years for $17.97, which is pretty good.

I also get Women's Health and love it. It has a wide variety of articles, food, fitness, relationships, guy next door stuff, and weird little average woman facts!! I highly recommend... I got 2 years for 35 dollars I think, that's 24 magazines, so less than 2 dollars a piece!! In the store its around 7.

I don't have enough time to read all the magazines I get now!

However, I do make time for one health-related magazine: Nutrition Action Health Letter, published by the Center for Science in the Public interest.

They have excellent articles on food and nutrition. They don't accept any advertising, so their opinions are unbiased and they really cut through the BS about what's good for you and what isn't. They have the latest medical opinions regarding nutrition, and a few tasty recipes every month.

It's a brief magazine, so it's a quick read I can make time for. And at only $24 a year, it's a good deal. Plus, they regularly run specials where you can get a subscription for much less.
