I don't to eat my pizza greasy so I always use a paper towel and soak up a lot of the grease on top before I eat it. Does anybody have any idea to figure out how many calories/fat I shave off by doing that?

  • I've always heard that soaking the grease off the top can shave off 100 calories.
  • Seems unlikely that a normal amount of blotting could save more than 30-50 calories. Considering that a tablespoon of oil is about 115 calories, how many tablespoons are really on the napkin? Asking for more sauce and less cheese is a better approach. The grease comes from the cheese, and also contains quite a bit of simple moisture, so blotting is mostly a psychological improvement.
Enjoy in moderation. (Tossing then crust would probably save you more calories)
