I'm in need of some suggestions....
My office girls and I compete in an annual "Biggest Loser" competition. Very basic...Lose weight...whoever has the highest percent of weight loss in conjunction with their starting weight wins. This way EVERYONE can compete regardless of size. We have done this 3 years running. However, this year we have run into a problem with one of the girls being at a weight that isn't going to allow her to lose anymore. I am trying to think of ideas that will allow us to continue to compete.
Some thoughts:
- A points system of some sort with tracking the intake of water
- A point system for calories burned or minutes exercising
- Measuring instead of weighing (this one concerns me because of possible muscle gain???)
I would appreciate any and all feedback so I can bring the ideas to my team and we can get started September 1st :-)

Body fat percentage will be the true test of winning b/c then the heavy people won't go on fad/crash diets to lose lbs that are mostly water weight and small people can participate as well and work on building muscle to decrease their percentage and not worry if they do gain muscle weight over the course of the competition.0

I agree with using body fat %. It would make it more even for everyone.0

There is a book called "The Game On Diet" It is a contest that is designed for just what you are talking about. We did it at our office and even pregnant people can participate because the points are based upon so many healthy lifestyle things, not just the scale. It's about forming good habits, supporting your team, dropping bad habits etc. Check it out, I highly recommend!0

Maybe add fitness challenges like they do on the show for added (or rather subtracted) points?0

Our program at work is based strictly on healthy lifestyle choices. 1 point for eating 5 furits and veggies/day, 1 point for drinking 64oz of h20/day, 1 point per 30 minute workout (up to six/week), bonus points for seminars, well visits to the doctor, extra yoga etc.
Yeah, people can lie and SAY they ate 5 veggies and didnt. They are hurting themselves. Just have to get over that.0
