As a Armed Forces Veteran I have always had massive huge bloody calves from all the fitness training and I cannot buy knee high boots from aHigh Street shop. So for years and years I didnt wear boots. Then in 2008 I found a site where you could measure your calves and order boots through them. Bloody expensive but comfy footwear.

I havent worn them in over a year what with being pregnant and it being summer, but today it was cold and pouring down with rain I thought I'd wear long trousers and my boots. Just a plain dark brown leather boots with an inch thick square heel, not exactly sexy but I like them.

Well..

They're hanging off me now, they're so loose and falling down that they look stupid!

Fantastic, my calves are smaller but still not standard booy size!! woohooo

The crap side is that they were so very expensive that I can't justify replacing them! I thought they last me for many more years yet so I forked out £170 for them.

bugger bugger!

eta - Forgot to add - I joined ONEderland the other day! Though it is through illness :(

do they custom make the boots? if so, can you contact them and ask them to alter the boots?

Find a good shoe repair place - they can probably be altered/taken in for far less than it would cost to replace them!
  • O....M...G....I fought for months to get below 200lbs, and rejoiced suitably, but I had no idea I'd found ONEderland! love it!

I'm going through one now myself. I bought myself a sexy little dress for my friends wedding a month ago. I put it on this morning to check out the fit and it's now a sexy little dressy anymore . . . it's a burlap sack that covers my beautiful arms. craptastic.

As someone else who also had that same "problem" (and then NSV) ... CONGRATS! Now sell those spendy boots and buy yourself a new pair ... at a regular store ... where you don't have to order extra wide calf sizes! ;o)
