the first step is admitting you have a problem

i love starbucks. adore it. its in my top three favorite things:

1) starbucks
2) louboutins
3) hello kitty

but of course, i must attribute my love of the greatest thing to come out of seattle to my touching thighs and 80's-tight jeans. every single day, it was a grande caramel macchiato with soy. everything coming out of my wallet was going straight to my toosh.

i'd held off for two weeks. every day, on my way to the gym, i would drive by my wonderland and watch all of the smiling and happy faces, enjoying their frappucinos, lattes, and americanos. and yet i preserved.

today, ladies and gentleman, i finally broke down and ordered a tall skinny vanilla latte (nonfat vanilla latte with sugar-free vanilla syrup) and it was the best 90 calories of the summer.

i've come to the conclusion that i can not try to work starbucks into my diet. i must work my diet into my starbucks addiction.

    Very wise! :)

I allow myself to have a skinny vanilla latte a few times a week. I don't drink regular coffee and the sweet latte keeps me away from other bad things :)

Dammit....I guess I have to walk down the street to Starbucks now...

Another tasty one is the skinny cinnamon dolce latte, just 130 cals for a grande!

Ugh! Just more empty calories and a strain on the wallet. I'd rather eat a piece of fruit. Sorry.

When I buy one now it is a Venti skinny mocha frapp with two espressos poured into it. I can definitely tell the difference in the skinny vs. the no-fat regular mocha frapp. I only allow myself one every once in awhile -- because of the wallet.

I'm glad you have come upon a compromise with your "problem." ;)

It's not actually empty calories like a can of Coke is...there is nutritional value in the milk, ie calcium.

This. A tub of Folgers is the price of two "coffees" there.

A tub of Folgers is also a lot crappier coffee. I guess to each their own, but I prefer my true espresso...for low calorie...Americanos are the way. If you don't like the price of Starbucks....get your own espresso machine!
