I wanna get back into working out a lot again, but I feel sooooooo tired all day.

Where do I find the energy to exercise when I barely have energy to stay awake at work? :(

If you work out, you'll have more energy. Doesn't seem to make sense, but it's really true, especially if you do some strength training instead of straight cardio. I'm doing the Ripped in 30 DVD, and this morning I was so tired I thought I should skip it. But my MFP friends told me to do it, and so I did, and now I'm all energized.

Nice! Never thought to do the strength instead of cardio for energy. Hmmm...interesting. Thanks!

Yeah, I don't know if it's that way for everyone, but when I do just straight cardio, it makes me tired. But if I do something that combines strength with cardio, like the Jillian Michaels DVDs, it seems to pump me up. I've been awake since 3 am, with only half a cup of coffee, and I'm still going strong. :)

Proper eating and exercise can provide you with a lot of energy. It is easy to get stuck in the downward spiral of not exercising -> no energy to exercise -> continue not exercising -> continue to have no energy to exercise -> etc...

The hardest part is that first day or two of getting back into the workout routine and then it usually comes a lot easier.

Also, getting plenty of sleep is another great way to increase your exercise. I struggle with this a lot but I have read that upwards of 8 hours of sleep a night (at least) is really good for increasing energy.

exercise gets the endorphins going, which gives you energy.

also, if you start eating more natural foods...and fewer processed foods (or, if possible, eliminate processed foods)...and drink only (or at least mostly) water....you will clean out the toxins from your body and that will make you feel better. I started doing this 3 months ago and I don't recall the last time I felt like I had this much energy. I have had a total of 6 caffienated beverages since late April..>SIX< ... and yet I have a TON more energy now than I did when I was drinking those dang diet mountain dews.
