Yo-yo dieting is such a pain!

Hi everybody! I've been using myfitnesspal for some time now, and I really like it. I was just wondering who else has been through the experience of yo-yo dieting? In the past 3 years I've--
-Been at my highest weight
-Lost 22+ lbs, getting to my lowest weight ever
-Found my "set" weight
-Gained 15 lbs back!!

Now that I'm trying to lose those 15 lbs, I realize now that I shouldn't have been so hard on myself when I was at my lowest weight, always wanting to lose just a liiiittle bit more. I think a lot of people could benefit from acknowledging the progress (or even just the effort!) they've made so far :)

ps, any motivation tips?

I am the exact same way!!! I look at pictures from last year and I look so thin but at the time I remember feeling so unhappy with my body. I lost 20 lbs but gained 10 back....I gotta lose those 10!

I always make photos of my progress and I always kind of give myself small presents if I've reached a certain weight. :D Just don't put too much pressure on yourself. And don't fall back into your old eating habits again.
It's not about dieting here, it's about a life change which keeps us all going I think.

I don't have any motivational tips. But, I can TOTALLY relate. I've been 111 lbs and I've been 149 lbs. Right now, I'm 138 lbs after gaining a few pounds after a week of crap eating and drinking.

I struggle with yo-yo dieting so much. I go from hardcore exercising and clean eating to eating a TON of total crap.

I just started a TOTALLY NEW approach today. I blogged about it, if ya wanna read. Basically just focusing SOLY on calories/portions, rather than trying to eat clean and healthy. I'm going to stop worrying about being a "health nut" and give myself total freedom. That way I cannot feel like I've "blown it" and hopefully, be less likely to continue this yo-yo dieting crap. haha. Good Luck :)

You know. I'm like that too.. always have been. I'm really terrified to be at my lowest because deep down I think it won't be enough and I still won't be happy. Crazy isn't it! idk.. I just keep working at it and hope that I will be proud of myself.
