I recently got a hold of some P90X dvds but they are really hard!!! I was able to complete the CardioX dvd --yay! The problem is that i don't know how many calories this dvd workout burns since it does not show up in the exercise tab of this website :frown: Does anyone know how many calories?

They say the average is 600 but depends how hard you go at it. Typical range for me is 600 - 950. A heart rate monitor is the best way to track the calorie burn and I'd recommend one with a chest strap (more accurate).
When tracking on MyFitnessPal I use Aerobics for the cardio based (Yoga, Kenpo & Cardio X) and Circuit Training for the rest of them. Adjust the time accordingly and you'll be in the ballpark.
But if you don't have a HRM use 600 as a minimum but if you'd dead tired at the end of a workout you're likely on the higher end. Just be honest with yourself using that method.
Also, P90X is very difficult and as Tony Horton (the trainer) says "Do your best and forget the rest!" I lived by that the 1st couple of weeks. Keep your remote nearby and hit pause to take a break for a minute or two when you need it and then get back at it. You will get through it and it will hurt along the way but ask anyone that's done the program...stick to it, do your best and over time you'll get better with the moves and in a very short time be able to go through all of the workouts non-stop.
Lastly, don't expect miracles the 1st round through and eat as healthy as possible. Contrary to other weight loss programs you need to feed yourself with P90X. If not, you'll not have enough energy to do the workouts. Try not to measure your results by the scale either as you'll be swapping muscle weight for fat weight. The best indicator is the number of inches. So take your weight and measurements before you begin then at 30, 60 & 90. Pictures are also a great suggestion. As an example of this, I'm in the 1st Round finishing up Week 6. I've lost 4.4 lbs in 6 weeks. Considering I have 40+ to lose that doesn't sound like much progress! However, I've lost 4 inches on my waist, 3 on my belly and 2 around my hips. Across my whole body I've lost 15.5" inches. What sucks is my clothes don't fit anymore so need to buy new ones! Tough probably to have I suppose.
Check out http://www.teambeachbody.com/get-fit/fitness-tools/workout-sheets and there is an XLS spreadsheet at the bottom for you to track your exercise, foods, and measurements. I find this a helpful tool and will help you figure out how much to eat on a daily basis.0
