Help figuring out the calorie balance

Hi friends. On days like today, I have a hard time figuring out what is just way to much food, and how much of my calories I need to eat back. Thursdays are my nutty days. I have two spin classes plus long walks with the puppy. I've already logged 2,000 calories, but I'm still WAAAY under my daily goal. Is going over 2,000 for a 5ft 6 girl never a good idea? I usually do, so could that be why my losses are so few and far between...or would it be hurtful for me to not eat enough back for a 1200 net? I realize this gets asked a lot, but my situation...I'd like to think...is a bit different being an instructor. Thanks in advance guys!

Maybe spread your calories out over a couple of days and try to get a 1200 net as an average? That's what I'm trying to do and I'm losing steadily (not as fast as I want but still losing steadily!)0

I guess my question to you is how do you feel? Are you hungry? If you're hungry, you should definitely eat those calories. If you're not, I wouldn't worry about it. it's not like you're only eating 1200 calories.0

just seems like a 1200 cal net is too low in general for you......
are you certain of your cals burned (figuring you do wear a HRM?) and are you certain that you are recording your foods accurately (assuming you weigh them?)
since you are trying to lose that last what 15 pounds (looking at your ticker to figure that out), I'd think you can eat more, create a smaller deficit, lose at 1/2 pound per week.
you'll lose faster that way.0 -

These are pretty much my thoughts too. I try to net 1750 at 153.0 -

fellow instructor, who can teach 2 somtimes 3 classes a day, on those days I eat about 2000, maybe 2100, kind of based on hunger. Usually I am hungry. I weight more than you though to start, if we factor that in.
when I only teach one class i never eat 2000 calories. I eat between 1500 and 1900. according to MFP, I am often under by 300 calories.
I lost 10 fast, last 5 much slower.0 -
You rock! Thank you! Do you use an HRM? Do you even log your class calories? Do you pay attention to net calories etc? Thanks for your input! 3 a days nearly kill me. You're awesome. :-D0

Hey girl, why don't you use another type of calculator to figure your calories! For example this one http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/harris-benedict-equation/ compare it to what your eating now and see if you can't find a balance!

sometime my 3/day is pump, rpm (spin), yoga or so the variety helps! I have a HRM that I need a battery for my watch reciever, so currently not using it. I log my class calories, but not walking the dog. I kind of look at net to make sure I am ball park, but basically try to shoot between 1500-1800 in general unless I have 3 classes. then i go 2000, 2100.
some people would say in zig zaging my calories, but not intentionally. It just happens that way.0 -

I think if you are hungry, eat more - maybe on days like today, try to eat to the net calorie level you would be set at for a pound and a half per week (1400? 1450?). The other, less intense days, go for the net calorie level for half a pound.
I always use my crazy burn days to indulge in things like homemade chocolate cookies and wine that I can't "afford" the rest of the week!(Not saying that's a SMART thing to do, just what makes me happy...)

It says between 2500-2800. So I take that number and then subtract 500?0
