Ok, so I ate 1300+ cals today, and my net is 675.

How have you been affected by having a low net calorie intake.

My counter says I have 885 to make 1560, but I really don't know if I could track down at least 500 cals.

I'll try, but if I don't really need to than I won't.

I know my friend has had issues when she was way under her cals. Has anyone else hit a significant plateau while having a very low net intake?

I felt very flu-ish when I was working out really hard, but still trying to keep my calories very low. Even with an obese BMI, and a lot to lose, trying to lose more than 2 lbs a week was too much for me. I really thought I was getting sick. Then one afternoon I caved and ate a cupcake, and that day, all of the achy, yucky muscle pains went away. So I upped my intake to 1500 cals a day (now at 1600) and haven't looked back. I am still steadily losing between 1 and 2 lbs a week, so 1600 calories feels right for me.

I notice that if i'm working out and i don't eat enough calories throughout the week I don't feel nearly as strong as the week wears on, and you run the risk of your body going into hibernation mode. If it does that you will notice you will no longer be losing weight or inches. Not good.

    Did you also workout today?

You really need to eat your exercise calories.....at least 75% of them. If you don't eat them on a regular basis you will be able to tell. You won't lose as much as you should and your body won't feel as strong as it should.

If I'm hungry, I eat. If I'm not hungry, I don't. I've consistently lost weight since April (down 35 lbs) and I always have a deficit. Everyone is different, so you'll have to really listen to your body and feed it when it needs fuel. I sincerely doubt that a single contestant on the Biggest Loser eats their Last Chance Workout calories back.
  • When u don't take in enough calories your body goes into starvation mode and actually holds on to the fat stores. In some cases u could even burn lean muscle instead of fat due to insufficient caloric intake.

Yeah, I did. I burned 600+ That's why my net is so low.
