Your favorite group class/ workout

I've never done group classes before, and I'm getting curious about them. What's your favorite group workout class and why?

    I can't dance, but I did a hip hop dance class workout once that ended up being a ton of fun! I went with a friend, so we just laughed at each other and had fun with it.

    Other than that, I've done boot camp classes and strength/cardio classes that have been great! I find that with group fitness, I push myself further because I don't want other people to see me poop out! Good luck!

    I kickbox. I love getting yelled at by a super hot guy. It's motivation.

    I love Love LOVE Zumba. It's high intensity, but you can work to your own level. It's a lot of fun. I don't know why, but I feel kinda sexy when I'm doing the classes. It's interval training and a full-body workout. I burn a little over 1,000 calories for every 1 hour class I go to. I was so self-conscious when I first started, and I still trip up on some of the steps, but I just keep moving and I work up one heck of a sweat. If you try it, you will love it. :D
  • I love spin class. It can always be something different. It's fun if the instructors have great dance music for the cadence of pedaling. It's also great because everyone can increase the intensity at their own pace and time while trying to be a part of the group workouts. It's a super fun way to kick your own butt!!

    Zumba is my favorite! Its fun and doesn't feel like a workout (until your finished)! I love it.

    Spinning- I feel amazing after, and it's fun to "race" against one another!

    Kickboxing and/or Body Combat- At my university they offer Kickboxing, and at the YMCA I use at home they do Body Combat, I loveeee them both! I get to let off a lot of steam and it's a great workout.

    Body Step- GREAT cardio workout, especially for legs!

    Zumba- SO much fun!

    Yoga- I try to do it every 1-2 weeks to help my muscles and be relaxed.

    :) There's just something about being with a group that makes it better!

    Spinning! i go three days a week and i love it!

    a close second is body pump

    I have tried step and dance classes, but im not super at those and they dont make me feel ive burned enough.

    I LOVE Zumba! I go twice a week, and I just signed up to take the instructor training, so I'll be able to teach classes!!

    I enjoy my CrossFit classes because everyone is just really supportive and it's such an incredible workout.

    I also really, really love my Olympic weightlifting class. I feel like I've really done something amazing after each class. I also am completely exhausted that night after class. (It takes a few hours and then I'm wiped out.)

    I love, love, love my Kickboxing Class at Work Out World!!!!! Once you get all the moves down you are able to really kick some butt for an amazing workout!!!! It really gets your endorphines going :)
  • I love group classes. Group classes really helped me lose inches the last time I lost a lot of weight.

    My favorites are spin and PowerFlex (Gold's gym, it's a weight lifting class). I LOVE weight lifting classes because they taught me proper form. My body really started to transform in 2009-2010 when I regularly took weight lifting (at the time I was taking 24Lift at 24 Hour Fitness). Even though I've gained back about 30 pounds, I'm still a size smaller than the last time I was at this weight because I built a lot of lean muscle.
