how long hould i exercise a day?

    What sort of exercise are you planning on doing, how fit are you, how fit do you want to be, and how intense do you want to workout?

    The more intense you workout the quicker you'll get fit. The fitter you are the more you can workout. The more you workout the more calories you burn.

    I am doing a fitness program called hip hop abs,im quite fat and my target is to get a 6 pack.

    hip hop abs is cardio basically. for a female to get the coveted six pack ab look she must get down to around 15% body fat give or take. i am 120 lbs and have 21 % body fat and no abs yet.

    you should work out to how you feel. a good cardio session should probably last longer than 30 mins to ensure glycogen stores are used up, and your body will start using fat stores for energy.

    Hip Hop abs is a great way to get started into the Beachbody family of workouts and looks a lot of fun. As Tavistock Toad says stick with the programme until it's completed and push as hard as safely you can while doing it. If you still feel like you have plenty of energy left once you've completed the workouts combine with a bike ride or a run or a swim or some form of extra cardio.

    I've completed ShaunT's Insanity and I've just started on his Asylum, harder but worth a look once you've finished his Hip Hop Abs!
