Reprogramming myself to eat healthy and lose weight

Diet, diet, diet. I've done so many of them I'm tired of the word so now I'm referring to it as 'reprogramming/retraining'. >.< I'm a 29 year old mother of 1 very active two year old boy. I'm hoping to be able to teach him how to eat properly and not over indulge so that he doesn't face the same problems I'm seeing now. I grew up in a home where we were poor but never wanted for anything and the table was always full of great food. With that in mind I blame part of my weight problem on my mother's skills in the kitchen. The other part is a combination of heridatary (again, thank you momma!) and low will power when it comes to my favorite foods. Here's to hoping I can conquer the will power problem and work hard against the heriditary.

I love the term reprogramming!! Think I might have to start using that one myself! I know what you mean about having tried so many diets! Ive been using myfitnesspal for couple of weeks now and im loving the way it helps keep me aware of everything im putting into my mouth!
Best of luck eating yourself to a new weight!
