trying to get fit before 40

Hi I am new here and need all the help I can get lost 20 so far but now it's been a week and no change on my scale if any one has any ideas would love to hear them. I have started doing 40 minutes on the arc trainer instead of the treadmill and losing inches but not lbs.

    You might change your diet some. I can't see your diary but I know when I plateau I try to increase my protein and decrease my carbs and it usually does the trick.

    My ultimate goal is to healthier at 40 than I was at 30...good luck! BTW: If you are losing inches, then you are doing the right thing...the scale will eventually catch up. Lean muscle is more dense than fat, so you get smaller but weight stays the same for a while. Really what we all want is the smaller; the scale is just a fairly inaccurate gauge.

    Hi there! 20lb is a great accomplishment! I can't see your diary so its hard to give you suggestions on what to do. But if you're losing inches, that's just as good as a weight loss.
