Question about strength training?

I am just wondering-I do not have a body bug or anything, how do you keep track of calories burned from strength training. Once a week I see a personal trainer who does a full body workout with me for an hour. I also do strength training on my own too. I know I am burning calories, but not sure how that figures in to the day when I post them. Anyone?

Your best bet is to use an HRM. Typically I burn about 200 cals for 75 minutes of heavy weight lifting, but everybody is different. I also post them under the cardio section.0

I would suggest getting a HRM, I bought the Polar FT4, it was 90.00 but was WELL worth it. I use it several times a day. either when I am working out of just playing around with my kids.0

Picking up a HRM at lunch today-hopefully I can program it successfully before my workout tonight! Thanks for the advice!0
